Tapcon Rod Hanger
Designed specifically for overhead threaded rod applications, the self tapping Rod Hanger offers a fast alternative to traditional drop-in anchors. Installed in less than half the time, it is ideal for any number of jobs including installing sprinkler systems and cable trays.

Features & Benefits
- 6mm drill diameter (screw diameter 7.5mm) - Smaller drill hole than drop-in anchors
- M8 or M10 internal thread
- Shorter 35mm length version - Designed to minimise risk of hitting re-bar. 55mm version also available for higher loads
- Anchor is set as it is inserted - Saves time and reduces risk of incorrect setting
- Delta Protekt Coating (screw only) 600 hours neutral salt spray. Shark Tooth thread reduces torque required to set anchor and also provides a more substantial anchorage once set. The wider thread angle provides more mechanical interlock with the substrate. The low pitch of thread provides better resistance to cyclic loading.

Installation
1. Drill pilot hole 6mm diameter, 10mm deeper than required anchor embedment. 2. Remove debris from the hole. Drilling the extra depth will allow for the mechanics of the anchor, therefore hole cleaning is not as important, but is advised. 3. Insert Tapcon Rod Hanger into 13mm Impact Socket or 13mm Magnetic Nut Setter using correct attachment for IWI280 or Spit 328. 4. Seat point of anchor into pre-drilled hole and tighten until anchor is fully seated. N.B. Ensure that the drilling tool is not set to hammer action during installation.
