Independent tests carried out on Paslode nails have proved that they are still the best quality wood to wood nails on the market, out-performing the main competition in a series of tests designed to test corrosion resistance, coating thickness and strength of nail.

In December 2011, Sheffield Testing Laboratories carried out the testing on behalf of Paslode, comparing their Galv-Plus nails against those from five of their competitors, and in all of the tests carried out the Paslode nails performed better than anyone else.

Salt spray tests proved that Paslode nails are over twice as corrosion resistant as their closest competitors. This result, coupled with strong results from bending yield tests, confirms that Paslode nails are the strongest on the market and are less likely to snap, thus guarantee stronger structures when used in timber applications.

The testing also concluded that Paslode nails benefit from the thickest coating on the market. Paslode exceeded the 12.2 microns of coating needed to qualify for Eurocode 5 service category 2 (suitable for outdoor protected and indoor not protected applications).

Paslode have been manufacturing top quality nails for timber for over 75 years, and were the first generation of nails to achieve CE markings. All Paslode nails are made in Europe by the ITW manufacturing plant and are available in five finishes, which ensure that Eurocode 5 service classes 1, 2 and 3 are all covered in the range.

As the only manufacturer that offers a range of nails for all timber applications, with Paslode you are able to pick the perfect nails for the task in hand without the risks involved with choosing a substandard nail, such as excessive rust, breakages and erosion, that can compromise the stability of your wood structure.
