Roofers get a firmer fix with Paslode!
More and more roofers are finding the Paslode IM350 gas nailer an invaluable tool not only
because it’s so much faster than traditional fixing methods but also because of it’s reduced
risk of strain on the body. By removing the need to spend all day swinging a
hammer, the user can work more effectively for longer periods of time without incurring
elbow and shoulder pain, enabling them to be more productive and pain free.
Being aware of the growing use of the IM350 nailer within the roofing industry, Paslode have
worked closely with leading roofing contractors to develop a nail designed to meet the
specific requirements of the Roofing Industry standards.
The Roofing Nail is the first mechanically fixed nail to comply with BS5534, the British
Standard relating to the code of practice for slating and tiling. Test results by
TRADA prove that, as well as higher corrosion protection, the Paslode 3.1 x 63mm Hot Dipped Galvanised nail can safely replace a
3.35 x 65mm standard galvanised nail when fixing 25mm thick C14 tile battens to TR 26 rafters.
By installing the new Roofing Nail with the Paslode IM350 gas nailer, contractors could save
over 3 hours a day on the time usually spent fixing tile battening the traditional way,
making a huge difference to both the quality of workmanship and overall productivity.
It was for these reasons that G&K Roofing Contractors of East Grinstead chose the Paslode
IM350 when replacing the 95 year old roof of the historic Worthing Dome Cinema. G&K
Roofing used the
Paslode IM350 to help speed up battening to support 30,000 Ffestiniog Welsh
Grey Slates on the Grade II listed building.
So by using the Paslode Roofing System not only will you get a firmer fix but a faster and
longer lasting one too!
